Miss Fountain City Rising Stars Attend State Pageant


The Miss Fountain City 2007 Rising Stars had an evening out on the town of Birmingham, as all 14 girls plus moms attended the Miss Alabama Pageant on Wednesday, June 6th. The girls traveled from Prattville to Birmingham, where they dined at Applebee's and then went to the pageant. The girls were there to cheer to Miss Fountain City, Raquel Martin of Prattville. Each young lady received a Miss Alabama program book (which featured a group photo of the girls) and a Raquel Martin lapel pin. After the pageant, the posed with Raquel for photos. The girls had a wonderful time and are looking forward to other summer group activities. The co-directors of the Miss Fountain City Rising Stars are Toni Dyer, Kelly Churchwell and Lori Colley. Rising Stars for the year are: Maddie Lee Adderhold, Aby Churchwell, Mary Grace Churchwell, Katlyn Dean, Kelsi Delgado, Natalie Dyer, Kayla Hull, Brooklyn Hollon, Sydney Snowden, Cincrista Smith, Macey Thigpen, Kimberly Vanderwal, Kristen Vanderwal and Tatum Willis. Miss Fountain City Ties for Preliminary Talent Win







Congratulations to Miss Fountain City 2007, Raquel Martin. During the Wednesday night preliminary of the Miss Alabama Pageant, Martin tied for the top talent award for the evening. She performed ballet en pointe to "Whistle Down The Wind". The other young lady to share the talent award was Jamie Langley, Miss Painted Rock, who sang "Listen" from Dream Girls. Both talents were exceptional. Thanks to both girls for a wonderful evening of entertainment.

Miss Fountain City Attends Autograph Party


Miss Fountain City 2007 ,Raquel Martin, joined the other 47 contestants competing in this year's Miss Alabama Pageant at an autograph party at Brookwook Mall in Birmingham on Sunday, June 3rd. The girls, along with the current Miss Alabama, Melinda Toole, vistied with young and old alike as they signed program books and received congratulations from Miss Alabama fans. The preliminary competitions begin Wednesday and will lead to the crowning of the new Miss Alabama on Saturday night.
